Tinganes, Tˇrshavn - F°royar

ęHenrik Solberg

Tinganes is the oldest part of Tˇrshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. It started as the location of the parliament. And while farming was the main industry, almost nobody was living there. Today Tˇrshavn is still housing the Faroese parliament, L°gtingi, but it is also a thriving town with university, ship yard, cathedral, several art museums and everything else that belongs in a capital.
